Mission Statement
Section I.
The purpose for which this Society is established shall be to advance the art
and
science of radiologic technology.
Section II. To
assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of education and
training,
and to elevate the quality of patient care, and to improve
the welfare of socio-
economics of radiologic
technologists.
Section III. To provide
meetings for the reading of scientific papers and discussion of
prob-
lems pertaining to the profession of radiologic
technology.
Section IV. To stimulate
and encourage research designed to provide the knowledge
needed
to assure increasingly efficient patient
care.
Section V. To
initiate policies concerning the professional status, legislative activities,
and
welfare of radiologic
technologists.
Section VI. To cooperate
with external organizations for the betterment of the
profession
of radiologic technology.
Section VII. To assist in
promoting sound, ethical conduct and proficiency of the
radiologic
technologists, so as to command the respect and confidence
of the radiological
and medical profession.
